There's discrimination at school, the way his mother thinks he's 'confused' and taking him to a counsellor, his dad being a jerk about it...and of course, there's Brian. I mean, your first night on the scene and you score with the hottest stud on Liberty Avenue - life should be good, right?
Not when you fell in love with him, it isn't.
[OOC: Justin will be appearing in the bar from S1 as Queer as Folk, a few days after his first encounter with Brian Kinney. He's what is known on the Scene as a 'twink' - young, boyish and so pretty. He's blond, of average height and slim build with a huge smile that leads him to getting the nickname 'Sunshine' off his surrogate mother.
He's very intelligent, bound for the Ivy League if his dad gets his way. But Justin's an artist at heart and an extremely talented one at that. And there's also the fact that he likes putting himself about a bit, while still managing to have fallen for one of the most unattainable men in Pittsburg.
But Justin's young. And doesn't know how to take 'no' for an answer. He's tenacious and not very shy, while still managing to be awkward at times. He tends to stand up for what he believes in, though he sometimes needs a bit of prompting to get going, and he's strong. He stands on his own two feet as much as he can but will ask for help if he has to. He can be emotional and vulnerable and has his silly moments, but on the whole he's a very level-headed, happy and focused young man. It's generally Brian that tears him to pieces and he can't seem to stop that happening - but it's better than not having the man at all.]
